This week we are learning about Christmas traditions from around the world. Our classroom is Sweden and the students had fun making Lucia crowns and Star boy hats. Here are our silly and sweet shots with our hats. We will spend the week traveling to different countries(teacher's classrooms) to learn about the traditions there. Hope the children aren't a bit jet-lagged when they get home each day!

Gingerbread Houses were a BLAST! Thank you to all the parents who sent in items for us to use for letting our creativity flow! Thank you also to all the parents who volunteered their hands to hold up roofs and apply sprinkles...the kids had a marvelous time. Hope you enjoy the photos.
Thank you!!!!

Today we had an author come to visit! His name is Jeff Cook. He is a firefighter that wrote a story
called Tails from the Firehouse. It is about a firehouse dog. He also reviewed fire safety with the children. They had fun listening to him and I know they learned lots of good tips. You may want to ask them about throwing toys at the firemen!!

Our class had a lot of fun performing
our reader's theater Johnny Appleseed to Mrs. Sealy's first grade class. All of our characters did a wonderful job and the backdrop was AWESOME! Great work boys and girls. I made a video of the play and will upload it to the site soon if I can.
