Combining Materials

Today we took two kinds of matter, toothpicks and marshmallows, combined them to make a structure!! We discussed that sometimes combining different materials can make things better or easier!!

Today in math we did some group problem solving. The kids really have great ideas of how to solve different math problem!! 

Lucas Miller Visits Kaufman

The author Lucas Miller visited Kaufman today. He did a very funny show for us today complete with songs and puppets!!!

Bust A Baggie

We did an awesome science experiment called Bust A Baggie! It involved baking soda, Damp Rid and water. Check it out!!

Hello Everyone!
We are  so excited to be starting a new school year.  We can't wait to meet each of our new students and start learning together. This year you will have two teachers! Mrs. Adams will be your Language Arts and Social Studies teacher, and Mrs. Martin will be your Math and Science teacher.

Now that August is here, we have both been busy getting our classrooms ready for you! We are waiting to meet each of you at Meet the Teacher night on Wednesday, August 20th from 5:30-7:30 pm. Bring all of your supplies with you so that you can drop them off with your homeroom teacher first and then make sure to stop by and meet your switch teacher and see that classroom! The students had a wonderful time during reading restaurant. Our classroom was transformed into Adams' Amazon Cafe and the students served up some fabulous reading!
